Legal Transcript Proofreading Services
Hello. My job as a proofreader is to make your job easier. My goal is to deliver exemplary proofreading services for all your needs. I will work with your specific preferences to deliver the most accurate proofread transcripts possible, whether it be EUOs, depositions, hearings, or expert testimony.
I always strive for excellent communication with my clients, and I welcome your inquiries and questions.
My proofreading training was completed through the course Proofread Anywhere, Theory & Practice, where I read and annotated over 3,000 pages of legal transcripts to complete and pass the course with a certificate of excellence.
When proofing, I always have Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation, The Gregg Reference Manual, and additional Margie Wakeman Wells’ reference materials by my side.
I also hold a Medical Secretarial Associate Degree of Applied Science and a Master’s Degree in Social Work.

I proof exclusively, at this time, in PDF format and return transcript or annotated pages only, whatever is your preference. You can download a PDF converter for free at www.cutepdf.com. My corrections are marked in red and yellow on the PDF. You must have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (it’s free) to see all my corrections.
For transcripts received after 8 p.m. EST, the turnaround clock starts ticking the following day at 8 a.m. EST. Weekends count as one day, i.e. transcripts submitted on Friday will be sent back to you on Tuesday.
Regular clients are billed on the 30th/31st of the month and payment is due within 15 days or penalties apply.
First Time Clients: Payment for initial services will be billed immediately upon receipt of transcript. I encourage all new clients to fill out my Reporter’s Preference Sheet so that I can gain an understanding of the style of proofing you prefer.
Reporter Preference Sheet
"As my reputation as a reporter is on the line every time I turn in a transcript, I can always trust Mary to do an outstanding job. With her meticulous attention to detail, I can always count on her to find any and all errors. She is prompt in responding to emails and is always reliable. When I have a question that I can’t find the answer to, she will go out of her way to find it for me. I highly recommend Mary. She's the best!!"
